There are so many ways in which you can use these. We have used these AK Interactive products to set the stage for our Mandalorian Razor Crest spaceship model kit. We chose the Sunrise Blaze color, aiming for a bright, otherworldly effect.

The preparation began by crafting a base with a styrene sheet atop a wooden piece. To facilitate easy removal post-creation, a clear, low-tack plastic layer was added in between the styrene and wooden base to avoid getting excess terrain material on the wooden base. The top of the styrene base is roughed up with sandpaper for better material adhesion.

The material application started with AK's terrain substance, using tools like spatulas and brushes for texturing. Rocks were integrated for added depth and realism. After allowing the material to dry overnight, we turned our attention to AK’s enamel wargame washes, which helped tone down the brightness and accentuate the details.

A pivotal technique, dry brushing, came into play to highlight raised areas and add dimension. With careful brushwork, we achieved an incredible textured effect, magnifying the base's intricate details.

The final result was a base that exuded an otherworldly aura, perfectly complementing the Razor Crest model. The combination of the diorama terrains and enamel pigments created a stunning backdrop, transporting the model into a fantastical realm.
