Description
The Ling Temco Vought A-7A Corsair II is a carrier-borne attacker developed as the succeeding aircraft of the A-4 Skyhawk. To reduce the development period and cost, the design concept of the F-8 Crusader carrier-borne fighter is introduced and the same parts are used. The Type A is the first mass production type and distributed in the fighting corps in September 1967. Thereafter it developed into Types B, C and E and the final aircraft for the Navy was rolled out in May 1971.
