Description
The AN602 hydrogen aircraft bomb Tsar Bomba was developed in the USSR between the years of 1954-1961 by Igor Kurchatov’s team of nuclear physicists. It was the most powerful explosive device in the history of the world. In 1961 it was dropped from a Tu-95V plane over a nuclear testing range and was said to yield 57-58.6 megatons of TNT.
