Description
The Ar 195 was a single-engine prototype carrier-based torpedo bomber built by the German firm Arado for service on the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin during the Second World War. It was used against the Fi 167 in the competition for the contract to equip the Graf Zeppelin. The Ar 195 was an efficient load carrier but the excessive drag of the wing bracing and inefficient aerodynamics ruined the flight performance. This drag problem was never resolved and only three prototypes were built.
