Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109T fighter was an aircraft carrier version that was converted from seven earlier issues. Changes included an added tail hook, catapult fittings and an increase in wingspan and ailerons. The armament of the T consisted of two 7.92 MG 17s over the engine and one 20mm cannon in each wing. Bf 109T-2’s were assigned to I/JG.77 and were deployed in Norway. In late 1941 they were replaced with E-3s. In 1943 they were issued to several training units in Germany.
