Description
The Douglas DC-3 is the most famous plane in the history of air passenger transportation, produced in 1935 to replace the outdated DC-2. Its initial purpose was to offer comfortable air flight across America with a sleeper layout, however later the plane was equipped with normal passenger seats. Thanks to its reliability and its safety record the plane became popular among leading air carriers of the time, and its extensive exploitation lasted until the appearance of larger four-engine machines. In the USA alone, more than 10,000 machines of this type were constructed. Some of them continue to be operated even today in some countries of Africa and Asia as transports, having broken all possible aviation records for long service.
Please see the paint guide below for the manufacturer’s recommended colors. Roden recommends Vallejo paints for this kit, and you can find the full line by clicking here.
