Description
The de Havilland DH.100 Vampire was a British jet-engine fighter. It was commissioned by the Royal Air Force during WWII and was the second jet fighter to do so, after the pioneering Gloster Meteor. It served in the front lines after the war and continued as a trainer until 1966.
