Description
The F-106A Delta Dart was developed as an advanced version of the F-102A. Owing to the more powerful engine, the F-106A became a Mach 2 class interceptor. Just like the F-102A, the air-to-air missiles are carried in the fuselage weapon bay. Linked with SAGE (Semi-Automatic Ground Environment), the F-106A can automatically approach and attack a target. The first flight was made on December 26, 1956.
