Description
DKM Peter Strasser was proposed as the second ship in the Graf Zeppelin class of German aircraft carriers. Neither Peter Strasser nor her predecessor were ever completed due to naval funds being directed to the development of u-boats instead and unforeseen difficulties in construction. Work was started in 1938 on the Peter Strasser and continued for just one year before being permanently suspended when WWII broke out.
