Description
HMS Cornwall was a Royal Navy ship completed in 1928 at the Davenport shipyard and undergoing modernizing modifications from 1935-38. She remained in service until 1941 at the local fleet level. In 1941-42 she served in the Royal Navy in the East against the Japanese fleet. HMS Cornwall was finally sunk on April 5, 1942 by the Japanese First Air Flotilla in waters southwest of Ceylon, Colombo.
