1/100 Scale. Ship measures 44 inches long and 27 inches high when complete. This Heller model is the english Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's H.M.S. Victory three decker vessel which was involved in the Battle of Trafalgar amd is the Royal Navy's fifth vessel of that name. On the 28th of October 1760 the ship was officially named Victory. In 1777 Great Britain was at war again and on the 8th of May 1778 the completed vessel was launched as Admiral Vessel under the command of Admiral Lord Keppel to fight her first battle against the french fleet near the brittany Coast. In April of 1803 she was armed again, with her appearence very different. Most of the Golden ornementation had been changed or had been totally deleted. When she went back to sea, she then had the looks which we admire today. Today, the Victory is flagship of the Royal Navy's Portsmouth command and is preserved in authentic condition in Portsmouth, England. This kit features 2107 parts molded in brown, tan, black & white plastic plus vacuum-formed sails. Detailed hull replicates the carvings along the sides, bow, & stern of the original and also includes the gunports for the cannon. Full mast detail with cross spars and crow's nests, Deck detail includes hatches, bulkheads, and lifeboats. The kit includes a special "rigging machine" for making the ratlines for the masts, Comprehensive instructions are provided for its use along with 4 spools of different thickness thread to make the ratlines and other rigging.
