Description
The Renault Company began designing the AH cabover series trucks for the French Army in 1939. The AHN 3.5t was equipped with a 6-cylinder engine and had rear drive only. Production began in March 1941 under the control of the German occupation administration. AHN trucks were widely used in all branches of German service up to the end of the War, including at the Soviet-German front, in Italy and France. In total about 4000 were produced between 1941 and 1944. Some of them had shelters and were used as ambulance trucks.
