Use consistent lighting when comparing related shades, and check any final clear on the sample before coating the model.

Preparing the paint

Stir the paint thoroughly and prepare a small sample over a compatible primer. For airbrushing, follow MCW’s enamel instructions when choosing reducer and adjusting the mix. Test the spray pattern before painting the model, and let the sample dry before judging the color and final sheen.

Build the finish around your intended result. A uniform body color, a camouflage layer and a small brush-painted detail each call for a different amount of coverage.
