Description
At the end of the 1960’s the Mikoyan Design Bureau was developing the world’s first interceptor fighter with a max speed of Mach 3 – the MiG-25. Modification MiG-25PD featured improved avionics and missile weapons. Production began in 1978 and it remained the basic interceptor fighter of the USSR anti-aircraft defense all through the 1980s. They served in the Soviet (later Russian) Air Force and they were exported to Iraq, Syria and Libya.
