Description
Roden is pleased to announce the release of a newly-tooled plastic model kit of the C-5B Galaxy, one of the largest military aircraft ever created. In 1/144 scale, this completed kit will still measure over 20 inches in length and 18 inches in wingspan.
The C-5B Galaxy is a military transport aircraft built by Lockheed Martin that specializes in strategic airlift capability for the US Air Force. It is very similar to its predecessor, the C-141 Starlifter, but is much larger -- costing over $260 million per unit. The B variant was first rolled out in 1986 and saw improved wings, simplified landing gear, upgraded TF-39-GE-1C turbofan engines and updated avionics.
