Description
The Russian Army’s heavy armored personnel carrier (Object 564) ‘Firebug’ was used for deployment of 7-man specialist flamethrower squads. It was based on T-72 main battle tank chassis with an 840hp V-46 diesel engine and it first entered service in 2001. BMO-T is designed to carry RPO series rocket-propelled infantry ‘Bumblebee’ flamethrowers. Features include built-in explosive reactive armor panels, Kevlar protective liner, nuclear biological and chemical protection (NBC) and a fire extinguishing system. It’s armed with an NSVT 12.7mm machine gun.
