Description
Holding the skies
Britain expected to fight the Second World War on and in the skies over France, just like it had fought the first one. This was not to be. In July, 1940, Germany launched the Battle of Britain—striving to dismantle the British Air Force and force England out of the war. The Spitfire Mk.IIa, along with a host of other aircraft, ensured this would not happen. Though both sides suffered terrible losses, it was the British who emerged victorious. Kit features detailed cockpit, rotating prop, and RAF Battle of Britain decals.
