Description
Distinguishing friend from foe at an altitude of 2000 meters was a difficult job for the Stuka pilots. The frontline troops learned at an early stage to place air recognition flags or banners on the ground in order to help the pilots choose the correct targets. This set consists of two German soldiers hurrying to spread out a large air recognition flag, another is pointing skyward, while the fourth is readying a flare pistol.
