The lead ship of the Iowa class gives this model its long, narrow profile and three main battery turrets. At 1/700, the ship makes an anchor for a fast battleship group without taking up the shelf space of a larger scale.

Working with the Deluxe edition

The Deluxe release is intended for a more involved detail build. Review its parts list before ordering separate upgrades, and plan the assembly sequence around any fine detail parts supplied in the box. Compare the Standard edition (VEE7001S) when deciding which version to build.

Product details

Manufacturer — Vee Hobby

SKU — VEE7001E

Scale — 1/700

Subject — USS Iowa BB-61

Ship class — Iowa class

Edition — Deluxe

Configuration — World War II-era subject

Format — Unassembled plastic model kit

Finishing supplies — Model paint and cement sold separately

Build and display notes

Build up the bridge and funnels as separate assemblies.
