This kit depicts New Jersey in its World War II configuration, a useful companion to Missouri or Iowa in a same-scale display. The kit year matters when choosing references because later refits changed the ship’s equipment and silhouette.

Working with the Standard edition

Start with the Standard release if you want to plan the finish and decide separately where to add fine detail. Check the instructions for the parts supplied with this specific kit. Compare the Deluxe edition (VEE7002E) when deciding which version to build.

Product details

Manufacturer — Vee Hobby

SKU — VEE7002S

Scale — 1/700

Subject — USS New Jersey BB-62 1945

Ship class — Iowa class

Edition — Standard

Configuration — 1945

Format — Unassembled plastic model kit

Finishing supplies — Model paint and cement sold separately

Build and display notes

Pick references from 1945 before planning the paint scheme.
