Commissioned in 1948, Worcester carried forward wartime lessons about combining surface and anti-aircraft firepower in a light cruiser. Its long hull and six twin main gun turrets make it an interesting postwar counterpart to a Cleveland-class build.

Working with the Standard edition

Start with the Standard release if you want to plan the finish and decide separately where to add fine detail. Check the instructions for the parts supplied with this specific kit. Compare the Deluxe edition (VEE7015E) when deciding which version to build.

Product details

Manufacturer — Vee Hobby

SKU — VEE7015S

Scale — 1/700

Subject — USS Worcester CL-144

Ship class — Worcester class

Edition — Standard

Configuration — Postwar subject

Format — Unassembled plastic model kit

Finishing supplies — Model paint and cement sold separately

Build and display notes

Keep the six main turrets aligned while fitting the deck assemblies.
