Description

When World War II was just beginning, the Imperial Japanese Navy was an incredibly powerful force in the world. Its naval aviation corps consisted of 10 aircraft carriers and 1500 topnotch aviators and was considered the most highly trained and proficient force of its kind. Its 12 battleships were sturdy, well-armed and performed quite successfully in field testing. The IJN’s defeat by the USN during WWII is still an intriguingly mysterious topic for historians.
