Academy AH-60L DAP 1/35 Scale Model Kit

Academy AH-60L DAP 1/35 Scale Model Kit brings AH-60L DAP to your workbench in 1/35 scale. The DAP helicopter subject combines a utility-helicopter airframe with the particular armament configuration named on the kit.

Planning the build

Test-fit the cabin and fuselage before painting the interior. Follow the kit’s assembly order around the external mounting points and keep the rotor alignment square.

Working in 1/35 scale

At this scale, small differences between rubber, bare metal and painted surfaces can help define the finished model. Plan the paintwork around the assembly sequence so enclosed areas are accessible. If the model will sit in a scene, compare its scale and finish with the companion pieces before choosing a base.

Kit features

• Fully engraved panel line and rivet details
• M261 19-tube Rocket Launcher and AGM-114 Hellfire included
• Detailed jet engine and rotor assembly
• Extensive cockpit detailing
• Main cabin doors can be positioned opened or closed
• Port engine bay may be built open or closed

• Decals for two aircraft (AH-60L, 160 SOAR, Southern Comfort and AH-60L, 160 SOAR, Razors Edge; plus Generic numbers also provided to depict other aircraft)

Painting and markings

Choose the marking option in the instructions before selecting colors. Test the primer and base color on a spare piece, then compare any panel wash or highlight against that sample. Plan masks for glazing and sharp color boundaries before the final assembly makes access more difficult.
