Atlas Brush Company 4-Piece Camel/Sable Round & Flat Paintbrush Set

Atlas Brush Company 4-Piece Camel/Sable Round & Flat Paintbrush Set brings 4 brushes together for model painting. The set uses camel hair and sable bristles in round and flat profiles. Use the different profiles to plan detail work and surface coverage.

Using it on your model

Use the broad face to lay down color on a small panel or piece of trim, and turn the edge toward a narrower line. Test the stroke width before working beside a finished color. Use the point for small marks and the fuller part of the brush for a broader stroke. Test both on a spare piece so you can judge the line before painting the model.

Plan the paint and coverage

For a figure, test the mark on a spare surface before adding a small highlight or color boundary. On a model vehicle or aircraft, paint hard-to-reach components before final assembly where possible. Choose the brush around the area and access you need, then adjust your paint for brush application according to the paint manufacturer’s directions.

Cleaning and storage

Clean promptly with a cleaner suitable for both the paint and the brush. Keep paint from drying at the base of the bristles, reshape the tip gently after cleaning and let it dry before storage. Reserve a separate brush for abrasive texture work or other jobs that could affect a fine detail point.
