MCW Finishes FS15189 Navy Blue Gray II - MCWMIL2150E

MCW Finishes FS15189 Navy Blue Gray II - MCWMIL2150E is part of the MCW Finishes range at MegaHobby. Build a camouflage or detail palette around FS15189 Navy Blue Gray II. Compare any FS, RAL or RLM reference in the name with the vehicle or aircraft’s marking guide before substituting a similarly named shade.

At the workbench

Choose the subject and period first, then compare any reference number with your build instructions. Swatch the base colors next to your planned wash and ground effects before painting the model.

Preparing the paint

Stir the paint thoroughly and prepare a small sample over a compatible primer. For airbrushing, follow MCW’s enamel instructions when choosing reducer and adjusting the mix. Test the spray pattern before painting the model, and let the sample dry before judging the color and final sheen.

Build the finish around your intended result. A uniform body color, a camouflage layer and a small brush-painted detail each call for a different amount of coverage. Check how your chosen wash, decal treatment or clear behaves on the sample before adding it to the finished piece.
