Vee Hobby USS Cleveland CL-55 Standard 1/700 Model Kit - VEE7020S

Build the USS Cleveland CL-55 with this Vee Hobby 1/700 Standard Edition plastic ship model kit. The lead ship of the Cleveland class represents the general-purpose U.S. light cruiser. Cleveland works as a stand-alone build or as a comparison with Houston, another member of the class, in a common 1/700 display.

Working with the Standard edition

Start with the Standard release if you want to plan the finish and decide separately where to add fine detail. Check the instructions for the parts supplied with this specific kit. Compare the Deluxe edition (VEE7020E) when deciding which version to build.

Build and display notes

Fit the turret groups and bridge before painting the deck. Plan seams and color breaks in advance so the main assemblies can be finished while the smaller surfaces are still easy to reach. In a fleet display, leave room around the hull so the deck layout reads clearly from above.
