Mig Productions Marta Kolinsky Paint Brush 3/0

MIG Productions Marta Kolinsky Detail Brush — 3/0

The MIG Productions Marta Kolinsky 3/0 paint brush is a pointed natural-hair brush for controlled detail work on scale models and miniatures. Use it when a broad brush would cover too much of the surrounding area, such as small painted details, short fine lines and controlled touch-ups. This listing is for size 3/0, item MP1011.

The supplied product information describes a handmade brush with Kolinsky tail hair, a sharp tip and a balance of elasticity and paint-holding capacity. A responsive point helps you place small amounts of paint deliberately, while the brush belly provides a paint reserve behind the tip. For fine work, the condition of the point and the consistency of your paint matter as much as the printed brush size.

Choosing a detail brush

• Brand: MIG Productions
• Range: Marta Kolinsky
• Size: 3/0
• Hair: natural Kolinsky tail hair
• Item number: MP1011
• Intended task: precise brush painting on models and figures

Compare the available 6/0, 4/0 and 3/0 brushes to build a small selection for different details. Brush-size labels are not a universal measurement between manufacturers; choose by the point and paint load needed for the task. A small detail brush complements a larger brush for base colors rather than replacing it.

Working habits that help preserve the point

Load a modest amount of paint and test the stroke before touching the model. Keep paint from drying near the ferrule, clean the brush promptly with a cleaner suitable for both the paint and natural hair, and gently reshape the damp tip. Avoid leaving the brush standing on its hairs or using a fine painting point to scrub rough surfaces. Let the brush dry without pressure on the tip.
