Vee Hobby USS Worcester CL-144 Deluxe 1/700 Model Kit - VEE7015E

Build the USS Worcester CL-144 with this Vee Hobby 1/700 Deluxe Edition plastic ship model kit. Commissioned in 1948, Worcester carried forward wartime lessons about combining surface and anti-aircraft firepower in a light cruiser. Its long hull and six twin main gun turrets make it an interesting postwar counterpart to a Cleveland-class build.

Working with the Deluxe edition

Squadron lists photo-etched, 3D and turned detail parts for this Deluxe release. Check their positions against the instructions before building up the surrounding plastic assemblies. Leave fragile fittings until the larger sections are painted and ready for final assembly. Compare the Standard edition (VEE7015S) when deciding which version to build.

Build and display notes

Keep the six main turrets aligned while fitting the deck assemblies. Pick photographs from the period you want to depict, especially if adding rigging or planning a Korean War display. In a fleet display, leave room around the hull so the deck layout reads clearly from above.
