Academy da Vinci Flying Pendulum Clock Mechanical Model Kit brings da Vinci Flying Pendulum Clock to your workbench. The flying-pendulum clock makes its moving timing mechanism part of the display. Follow the relationships between the drive, escapement and pendulum through the build.
Planning the build
Test the mechanism in stages and keep the base level. Check clearances before finishing or closing up parts of the assembly.
Following the mechanism
Lay out the pieces in the order shown by the instructions and identify the joints that must move. Check the relationship between each assembly before advancing to the next step. A clean, well-aligned mechanism helps you follow the path of movement on the completed display, so test it gently as the build develops.
Assembly and presentation
Read the assembly sequence before applying any finish. Test the moving parts at each stage and keep the mechanism accessible during the build. Follow the kit’s instructions for setup and operation so you can see how the completed parts work together.
