AMT’s 1960 Chevrolet Nomad Station Wagon Craftsman Plus model kit brings a distinctive full-size Chevrolet wagon to your workbench in 1/25 scale. Built from all-new tooling, this curbside-style kit combines an approachable 83-part assembly with detailed exterior trim and interior decoration. It is a good subject for builders who enjoy period passenger cars and the long roofline of a classic American station wagon.
A classic Chevrolet wagon with thoughtful details
The Craftsman Plus release takes inspiration from AMT’s earlier Craftsman Junior subject while using newly tooled parts. Wide-whitewall vinyl tires and chrome-plated components complement the Nomad’s period styling. The separate hood and clear window parts give you opportunities to plan clean paint boundaries and carefully finished body trim.
The decal sheet supplies upholstery patterns in two color choices, along with body emblems, scripts and dashboard instruments. Choose the interior scheme before painting so the seats, dashboard and exterior color work together. The completed wagon measures approximately 8.25 inches long, making it a useful companion to other 1/25 scale American-car builds.

Plan the paint and final assembly
Test-fit the body, glazing and interior before painting. Apply light coats around the body scripts and panel lines, and leave time for the finish to cure before handling the exterior. Planning the upholstery decals and trim work early helps preserve access to the wagon’s visible passenger compartment during final assembly.
