Atlas Brush Company Golden Taklon Fan Shaped Weathering Brush

Atlas Brush Company Golden Taklon Fan Shaped Weathering Brush gives you a fan weathering profile for applying or working a weathering effect on a scale model.

Using it on your model

The fan profile spreads its contact across a wider edge. Test it for broken-up surface marks or directional effects, and keep the amount of product low enough to see the individual pattern.

Build the effect gradually

Use the same base color and clear finish on a test piece as on the finished model. Compare the effect after it dries, then decide whether to add another pass. Keep the strongest deposits near the source of wear or dirt and let more of the underlying finish show on exposed areas.

Cleaning and storage

Clean promptly with a cleaner suitable for both the paint and the brush. Keep paint from drying at the base of the bristles, reshape the tip gently after cleaning and let it dry before storage. Reserve a separate brush for abrasive texture work or other jobs that could affect a fine detail point.
