Academy M1151 Expanded Capacity Armament 1/35 Scale Model Kit

Academy M1151 Expanded Capacity Armament 1/35 Scale Model Kit brings M1151 Expanded Capacity Armament to your workbench in 1/35 scale. The M1151 vehicle subject offers a wheeled alternative to a tank build, with a cabin, armament area and body panels to finish separately.

Planning the build

Dry-fit the cabin and running gear before painting. Check that all tires touch the display surface and keep glazing masks in place through the main color work.

Working in 1/35 scale

At this scale, small differences between rubber, bare metal and painted surfaces can help define the finished model. Plan the paintwork around the assembly sequence so enclosed areas are accessible. If the model will sit in a scene, compare its scale and finish with the companion pieces before choosing a base.

Painting and finishing

Choose the setting before committing to camouflage, markings and weathering. A small painted sample lets you compare the base shade with a wash and the dust or dirt from the planned display. Keep the heaviest deposits where the vehicle or equipment would contact the ground, and check the contrast at normal viewing distance.
