Product features and specifications

The Estes Pro Series II™ Jayhawk is an expert-level model rocket designed for serious rocketeers and history buffs alike. This 1:5.6 scale replica of the Beechcraft AQM-37A Navy target drone combines intricate design with powerful performance. The original Jayhawk served as a high-speed aerial target for pilot training—this version brings that legacy to life with authentic detailing and precise engineering.

Built for expert hobbyists, the Jayhawk features premium components like balsa fins, plywood centering rings, and both launch lugs and rail buttons for flexible launch options. Flying on 29 mm engines, this rocket can soar up to 900 feet before deploying its 30-inch nylon parachute for a smooth recovery. Whether you're looking to showcase your building skills or honor a piece of aerospace history, the Jayhawk delivers a rewarding rocketry experience.
