Molotow Chrome Marker 30ml Refill Bottle

Molotow Liquid Chrome refill supplies 30 ml of mirror-effect ink for compatible Liquid Chrome markers. It is the refill bottle rather than a marker or replacement tip. Shop Molotow finishing supplies at MegaHobby for chrome accents and reflective details.

Plan a chrome-detailing project

The alcohol-based ink is intended to produce its strongest mirror effect on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces. Model cars and trucks offer trim, small plated details and other opportunities for a reflective accent. Aircraft, display models and scenic projects may also benefit where the subject calls for a polished metal appearance.

Surface preparation affects the result. Test the ink on spare material with the same underlying finish before applying it to a visible part. A chrome-effect product is not a substitute for correcting scratches or rough texture in the surface beneath it.

Choose the format for the task

Use the refill to maintain compatible Liquid Chrome markers according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Keep the bottle and work area clean so refill work does not introduce debris into the marker.

Protect the completed effect

Follow the product directions for preparation, application and drying. Avoid unnecessary handling of the reflective surface, and test any planned clear coat before using it on the finished model. Do not assume that every varnish preserves the same mirror appearance or that the finish is immune to scratches.
