Choose the finish for the subject
The current foil selection includes Chrome, Ultra Bright Chrome, Black Chrome, Gold and Matte Aluminum. Each has a different visual role, from bright window trim to restrained metal panel accents. The brand collection also includes separate polish and adhesive listings; these are different products with their own uses and instructions.
Preparation makes the detail convincing
Take care of seams, surface texture and dust before adding a final metallic detail. Thin foil follows the surface beneath it, so uneven preparation can remain visible. Plan smaller sections around panel boundaries and trim lines, and test the application on a spare piece before working on a finished model.
When using polish or adhesive, follow the bottle directions for compatible surfaces and application. Paints, clear parts and bare plastic may respond differently. A small test is useful before applying a product near a highly visible finish or delicate detail.
Plan a complete finishing project
Model cars and trucks offer trim, emblems and other small metallic details. Aircraft can use selected metallic panels where the subject supports them. Display and scenery projects may offer additional uses, but check scale, surface preparation and the visual effect before covering a large area.
