Vee Hobby USS Oakland CL-95 Standard 1/700 Model Kit - VEE7013S

Build the USS Oakland CL-95 with this Vee Hobby 1/700 Standard Edition plastic ship model kit. Oakland belongs to the follow-on Oakland group of the Atlanta-class light cruisers. Display it alongside San Diego to compare the arrangement of the two anti-aircraft cruiser designs, or set it beside a carrier to show the difference in scale and role.

Working with the Standard edition

Start with the Standard release if you want to plan the finish and decide separately where to add fine detail. Check the instructions for the parts supplied with this specific kit. Compare the Deluxe edition (VEE7013E) when deciding which version to build.

Build and display notes

Use references for Oakland itself when placing details. Work along the hull in sections and check that neighboring gun positions have clearance before the deck fittings are fixed in place. In a fleet display, leave room around the hull so the deck layout reads clearly from above.
