As photo-etched parts become smaller and more detailed it is important to have the proper tool for removing them from the fret. The 9180ET's long, thin, ultra sharp tip easily cuts delicate PE without bending, pinching or twisting.
Ergonomically shaped handles offer superb control and stability as well as comfort. Return spring brings tool back to open position after each cut.
Recommended for use on photo-etched parts only.
Work Carefully with Fine Metal Details
Photo-etched parts can be easy to distort during removal from the fret. Choose a tool specifically suited to the material and thickness, support the part and position the cutting edge where you can see the attachment tab clearly. Follow the limits for this exact model.
Once the part is free, inspect the attachment area before cleaning up or forming the detail. Select a suitable holding or forming tool for the next stage rather than using a cutting edge to bend the part.
