AK Interactive Master Acrylic Wash Set – Full Range (18 Colors) is available from MegaHobby. Use acrylic washes to add depth to recesses and around raised details. They are useful on figure folds, textured terrain and other areas where the fluid can settle into the sculpt.
At the workbench
Work in sections and watch for puddles along lower edges. Test the wash over the intended base color and compare the dry result before deciding whether a second pass is useful.
AK describes these washes as fluid acrylic colors that settle around details. A dark wash can define a grille or recess while a closer shade keeps the contrast subdued on smaller subjects.
