AK Interactive True Metal 459 Iron is a wax-based metallic finish. True Metal gives modelers a wax-format metallic finish for parts such as armor details, fittings and exposed metal. The effect depends on how the product is placed and how the surface is worked afterward.

Try a small amount on a spare part and see how the result changes with your applicator and surface texture. Check the directions before buffing or applying another finish over the wax.
AK describes True Metal as wax-based. Compare colors on adjacent fittings and check the sheen after application before choosing how to finish the rest of the model.
