Evergreen Clapboard .030'' sp

Evergreen Clapboard .030'' sp

Evergreen 4031 is clapboard styrene siding for scratch building and model detailing. This listing is for Clapboard .030'' sp. Match the section or pattern to your drawing before choosing the material for a new part.

Ideas for your workbench

Clapboard represents overlapping boards on miniature buildings. Use it for wall panels on houses, sheds, depots and other structures when the prototype calls for a lapped surface rather than a simple engraved line.

Choose the right size and format

Keep the overlap direction consistent around the building. Check board spacing against a photograph or drawing, and allow space for corner trim, door frames and window surrounds.

Cutting and finishing

Measure and mark the part before cutting, support the material on a suitable work surface and dry-fit the assembly. Use an adhesive appropriate for the materials being joined and test it on an offcut. Clean up cut edges before applying a compatible finish; a small test piece helps confirm the appearance before painting the completed model.
