Excel 5-1/2" Flat Needle File

Excel 5-1/2" Flat Needle File is an Excel product for your hobby workbench. Compare Excel needle-file profiles and sets for fitting, seam work and shaping. Select a profile that reaches the surface while protecting nearby edges.

Using it on your project

This flat profile gives you a particular contact surface for fitting and shaping. Check that it reaches the area while keeping neighboring edges clear.

Work a little at a time and check the fit frequently. Use the appropriate face of the file to maintain the intended shape, then follow with a finer finish if the project calls for it.

What to compare before ordering

Check the product number, format and package quantity against the task on your bench. A blade profile, numbered drill size, abrasive grade or jaw shape can change how a tool reaches a small part. Compare the listing with the tool or holder you already own before choosing a replacement or accessory.
