Mission Models US Army Olive Drab 34088 – Water-based acrylic model paint
US Army Olive Drab 34088 is a Mission Models water-based acrylic color for scale modeling. Compare Allied, German, Soviet and modern armor colors for scale military vehicles. Start with the base shade, then select camouflage and equipment colors appropriate to the subject.
Why choose this product?
- Water-based acrylic color for brush detail work and airbrushing
- Part of the Mission Models paint system, with compatible primers, reducer and clears
- Use a test swatch to judge the dry shade over your chosen primer
Recommended Mission Models workflow
- Prepare the surface with a clean, even base. Compare Mission Models primers shades to see how they affect coverage.
- Set up the airbrush with Mission Models Thinner / Reducer as needed. Test the mix and spray pattern on scrap before moving to the model.
- Adjust working time if needed with a small amount of Polyurethane Intermix in a compatible color mix. Test how it affects sheen and leveling.
- Choose the final sheen with Mission Models clear coats where the build calls for it. Test the complete paint and weathering sequence first.
Where it fits in your build
A light coat of dust can mute camouflage and narrow the contrast between colors. Test your base, wash and ground color together before deciding how much weathering the model needs.
