Building and finishing this MPC kit

Show rods leave room for a personal finish while keeping the original design recognizable. Choose the body color before committing to interior and brightwork shades, and check how the markings will sit against that color. Test-fit visible assemblies before painting so the final presentation emphasizes the unusual proportions and custom details.

Plan your workbench

Work through the assembly sequence before starting, especially where clear parts, decals or moving components need to be fitted later. Use light paint coats to preserve molded detail. A test piece is useful for checking paint and clear-coat compatibility before committing to the visible surfaces.
