Plan a Period Racing Display

Build around the driver, team and appearance named in this release. Reference photographs can help you plan the relationship between body color, markings and smaller details. Check the kit instructions and package contents before choosing a specific race appearance or buying additional detail parts.

Decide whether the finished car will stand alone or join a wider racing display. A consistent base and viewing angle can bring several builds together, while an individual model gives you room to concentrate on its particular paint scheme. Compare scale and dimensions before pairing the car with transport or display accessories.

Prepare for Painting and Assembly

Read through the assembly sequence before separating the parts so you can identify components that need painting before installation. Test your planned primer, color and clear-coat sequence on spare material, and follow the directions for each product. If the kit includes decals, use their instructions to plan surface preparation and finishing.
