1/400 Scale

1/400 Scale Model Ship Kits

Build naval and maritime subjects in a practical mid-size format with 1/400 Scale Model Ships from MegaHobby. This ship-modeling scale gives builders enough size to appreciate hull shapes, superstructures, deck equipment and other vessel details while keeping finished projects manageable for display.

For maritime modelers interested in warships and other large vessels, 1/400 scale can provide a useful balance between the physical presence of larger ship scales and the space efficiency of smaller fleet-oriented models.

Build Detailed 1/400 Ships

Ship models in 1/400 scale provide opportunities for careful assembly, deck painting, superstructure detail and historically appropriate markings. Larger vessels remain substantial projects without reaching the dimensions associated with scales such as 1/200.
