Academy Ship Model Kits

Academy Ship Model Kits

Browse Academy battleships, carriers, cruisers, a frigate, sailing ship and passenger liners. Select a scale around the size of the real vessel and the display space you have available.

Choose the subject and scale

Read the complete subject name and Academy kit number before selecting a version. A unit, production type or named edition can change which references and paint scheme you need. Compare the scale with the rest of your planned display and check the individual listing for any stated special features.

At the workbench

Plan the hull, deck and superstructure colors before adding small fittings. Compare deck markings and mast alignment from several angles while the main assemblies are still accessible.

Plan the finish and supplies

Start with the instructions and a list of the colors, tools and materials needed for this kit. Dry-fit the main parts, then prepare a test sample of the intended finish. Keep delicate details accessible through painting and leave their final installation until the assembly sequence calls for them.
