AK Interactive Dual Exo Acrylic Paints

AK Interactive Dual Exo Acrylic Paints

Dual Exo is an acrylic range developed for subjects such as mecha, science fiction vehicles and robots. Its named color pairs give you a starting point for choosing related tones for armor panels and other large surfaces.

How to use this range

AK describes Dual Exo as a satin acrylic system for science fiction subjects. Compare A and B shades side by side to plan large armor panels, and use a test piece to judge how the sheen changes under a wash.

At the workbench

Paint a sample panel before choosing how to separate colors across a model. Use the lighter and darker shades to organize large shapes, then bring out the joints and small details with targeted finishing work.

What to compare before ordering

Check the A or B designation and the bottle size before ordering. Choose a thinner or cleaner for the actual product and test any weathering layer over a cured sample.
