AK Interactive Quick Gen Contrast Paints

AK Interactive Quick Gen Contrast Paints

Quick Gen is aimed at efficient miniature painting with a contrast approach. Its effect depends on both the underlying color and the shape of the sculpt, so raised details and recesses can read differently in the same coat.

How to use this range

AK calls Quick Gen its acrylic range for the contrast technique. On repeated figures, try the same color over a white and a light gray undercoat and choose the result you can reproduce across the unit.

At the workbench

Start with a clean, evenly prepared model. Test the color on a spare figure or test area to see how it behaves over your chosen undercoat. Work one section at a time and watch for pooling at seams and lower edges.

What to compare before ordering

Compare adjacent colors over the same undercoat when planning an army. Use a separate base color where you want more uniform coverage and reserve contrast paint for areas where the sculpt can guide the shading.
