Microscale Micro Coat Flat Clear Finish 1oz

Microscale Micro Coat Flat, in the listed 1 oz bottle, provides a flat clear finish for model surfaces when a low-sheen appearance fits the subject. It is part of Microscale’s water-reducible acrylic clear-coat range. Find it at MegaHobby for a carefully planned model-building and finishing workflow.

Where Micro Coat Flat fits in the project

Choose Flat to reduce the sheen of a completed finish. Test over the actual paint and decals, and allow earlier layers to dry before coating. Follow the bottle directions for application, thinning and cleanup rather than assuming compatibility with every paint system.

Plan the sequence around your model

Work from the materials and finish already on the model. A railroad car, aircraft, model vehicle or display scene can combine plastic, paint, decals and clear parts, and each stage needs the right product. Keep the product label handy and test the planned combination on spare material before working on a prominent area.

Allow enough time between application and the next finishing step. Avoid treating every Microscale liquid as interchangeable: decal solutions, clear coats, masks and adhesives perform different jobs. Choose the product for the task and use its own instructions for application and cleanup.
