Tix Anti-Flux Solder Inhibitor

Browse Tix Anti-Flux for controlled metal-joining work where selected areas need to remain free of solder. Choose a bottle size around your workbench needs and confirm the application process before using it on a detailed assembly.

Plan Where Solder Should Not Flow

A joint may be close to a thread, visible surface or existing detail that you want to preserve. Inspect the assembly and identify the intended soldering area before applying products. Anti-Flux is a flow-control product, not the flux used to prepare the new joint. Follow its directions and keep the different application areas clear in your plan.

Identify the Protected Area First

Dry-fit the parts and decide how they will be held before beginning. Keep access to the joint in mind, and consider the heat sensitivity of nearby paint, adhesives and nonmetal parts. When the technique or material combination is new to you, a spare-material test gives you a way to evaluate the process before working on the final assembly.

Choose Supplies for the Actual Material

Model fabrication may involve different metals and joining methods within the same project. A product suitable for one operation should not automatically be used for every other connection. Read the current instructions, plan the cleanup and inspect the result before moving on to finishing or installing the part.
